In order to take full advantage of the SmartFlow - Animana integration, it is necessary to set up the accounts correctly. For this please follow the steps below:


1. Open your Animana account > click on the Settings button (with the gear wheel) > select General Settings:

 

2. Under the Settings list, open the SmartFlow Configuration tab:


3. In another browser tab, please open your SmartFlow account and find the SmartFlow API Key as described HERE.


4. Once the SmartFlow API Key is copied to the clipboard, go back to the SmartFlow Configuration page in Animana > under Location Settings select an appropriate Location Name > paste the SmartFlow API Key, and click Add:


5. Then the account will appear in the list. You can choose a few customisations for sending patients to SmartFlow.  



The first checkbox is checked by default. This will automatically send a patient to SmartFlow when you mark them as "arrived" in your diary. (This does not include recurring appointments.) If you do not wish this automation and would rather send your patients from the patient file, please uncheck this box.


The second box is also checked by default. Leave this checked if you want the client's phone number sent to SmartFlow as part of the patient record. The phone number sent will be the most recent cell phone number in Animana.


You can check the third checkbox if you would like the client's email address included in the patient file in SmartFlow. Please note, only one email address will be sent, and if you have multiple email addresses for a client, it will be the first email in the list that comes accross.


And finally you can use the fourth checkbox if you wish the client's physical address to be included in the patient file as well. This can be useful for client consent forms.


After you have made your selections, please remember to press the save button!



Now, when you open the Patient File from the connected location, for each patient, the SmartFlow + (send to SmartFlow) button will be available:


NOTE: Please do not send a patient to SmartFlow until you have synchronized your Animana inventory products.


6. Finally, synchronize your Animana inventory products with SmartFlow.
